Practice Patience Everyday

Patience is a skill that we develop over time. It's something that helps us to be more mindful, but in a world where so many things are easily accessible, it's also an ability that can be challenging to cultivate. Here are some ideas how we can practice patience everyday and better prepare ourselves for the situations that may call for it.
The next time you find yourself at the grocery store, opt for the longest line.
Instead of going through the drive-thru at bank, pharmacy or favorite coffeehouse, consider going inside.
In conversation, focus on what someone is saying instead of how long it takes them to say it.
Plan ahead and prepare meals for the week.
Start your day (and make coffee!) 15 minutes earlier.
You can even take these exercises a little further by noting them down somewhere. Write about the exercise you did and how you felt as you were doing it. The results may surprise you!
