Overwhelmed After Time Away? You’re Not Alone

Coming back after being out for a few weeks—whether from travel, illness, or simply a much-needed break—can feel like trying to jump onto a moving train. Your to-do list might feel longer than you remembered, emails are stacked up, and the routine that once felt familiar suddenly seems daunting. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, take a deep breath—you’re not alone.

It’s easy to fall into the trap of thinking you have to “catch up” instantly, but let’s reframe that. You’re not behind; you’re simply re-entering. And like anything worth doing, it’s okay to take it one step at a time. Give yourself grace. Prioritize what truly matters. And most importantly, don’t forget to celebrate the small wins—because every step forward is progress.

If today feels heavy, remember: you’ve handled challenges before, and you will again. Your strength isn’t in doing everything all at once—it’s in showing up, even when it feels hard. Be patient with yourself. You’ve got this.
